About NCAR

NCAR is a cutting-edge applied R&D technology center located at the University of Nevada, Reno campus, a leading research and entrepreneurship-focused university in the western United States15. As an independent R&D institution, NCAR aims to enhance the global competitiveness of Nevada's industries by leveraging the university's physical assets and intellectual expertise2.

The center is supported by the Knowledge Fund, backed by the Nevada Governor's Office of Economic Development and closely work with the City of Reno. Notably, NCAR operates a venture town where domestic and international startups can reside, conduct joint research, and collaborate with the center.
