배우 칼럼 워디(Calum Worthy)와 할리우드 프로듀서 러셀 가이저(Russell Geyser)가 설립한 AI 스타트업 2wai가 첫 번째 앱을 출시하며 베일을 벗었다. 이들은 이 앱이 유명인, 브랜드 등이 팬들과 대화할 수 있는 실제 같은 아바타를 효율적으로 만들 수 있게 해주며, AI가 이상하거나 부적절한 말을 하지 않도록 하는 핵심적인 안전장치를 갖추고 있다고 주장했다.

AI startup 2wai, founded by actor Calum Worthy and Hollywood producer Russell Geyser, has unveiled its first app, lifting the veil on their venture. They claim the app enables celebrities, brands, and others to efficiently create lifelike avatars for conversing with fans, while incorporating crucial safeguards to prevent AI from saying strange or inappropriate things.

2wai's initial app release allows users to chat with characters created by 2wai, including William Shakespeare as well as personal chef Luca, astrologer Celeste, and personal trainer Darius. It also features an AI version of Calum Worthy himself, with 2wai announcing that "celebrities, personal assistants, cultural icons, superheroes, and more" will be added weekly. The company has announced that future versions will allow users to create their own digital twins.

"Over the past 20 years working as an actor, writer, and producer, I've experienced firsthand how difficult it is to create meaningful relationships with fans around the world," Worthy said. "With the launch of 2wai, we're enabling a completely new experience that's as authentic as the holo-avatars we create."

Canadian actor Worthy, who appeared in Disney Channel series "Austin & Ally," Netflix series "American Vandal," and Hulu's "The Act," is co-founder of 2wai. He and Geyser conducted research for the company during the 2023 actors' strike. According to Worthy, they "saw an urgent need for creators and individuals to have agency over their likeness and to use AI with their avatars to amplify their voice rather than replace it."

"2wai really puts control back in the hands of artists," Worthy said. "It allows them to communicate with fans 24/7 without having to be online all the time. The platform enables one-on-one, human-like connections."

Worthy says he uses his avatar on the 2wai app to "share stories and information I've never shared before, including behind-the-scenes stories from my Disney days." "I think of this as a living diary," he added.

"FedBrain" 접근법으로 안전성 확보
