Promise is leading industry innovation through technology collaborations with Google DeepMind, the development of its own platform MUSE, and the acquisition of AI film education company Curious Refuge. The funding will help integrate cutting-edge AI technology into MUSE, Promise’s proprietary production platform, and further the studio’s collaboration with Google DeepMind to push the boundaries of AI-driven storytelling. The studio also revealed plans to begin production on its first feature film this year, merging the innovation of generative AI with the creativity of human artists.

2025년 프라미스는 온라인 강의 및 오프라인 워크숍, 밋업(Meetup)을 통해 영화 제작자들이 AI를 활용하도록 돕는 테크 기반 영화 교육기관 큐리어스 레퓨지(Curious Refuge)를 인수하기도 했다. 큐리어스 레퓨지는 2020년 설립 이후 전 세계 171개국 4,000명 이상의 창작자들에게 AI 영화 제작, 애니메이션, 광고, 다큐멘터리 등 다양한 온라인 강좌와 워크숍을 제공하는 AI영화 학교다. 이곳은 AI 기술을 활용해 창작 역량을 키우고자 하는 영화인, 학생, 업계 종사자들에게 실질적인 교육과 커뮤니티를 제공해왔으며, 오스카 및 에미 수상자부터 신진 창작자까지 폭넓은 네트워크를 보유하고 있다.

Curious Refuge Acquisition

In 2025, Promise acquired Curious Refuge, a tech-driven film education platform offering online courses, offline workshops, and meetups to help filmmakers integrate AI into various aspects of production. Since its founding in 2020, Curious Refuge has reached over 4,000 creators in 171 countries, providing instruction in AI film production, animation, advertising, documentary filmmaking, and more.

Strategic Partnership With Google

Promise also confirmed a strategic partnership with Google, including technical collaborations, early model testing, and joint marketing efforts with Google DeepMind and other AI divisions. Jonathan Silver, co-founder and director of Google AI Futures Fund, praised Promise’s cutting-edge exploration of Gen AI in filmmaking. “They’re one of the most forward-thinking studios using generative AI for creative expansion.
