Netflix added a record-breaking 18.91 million subscribers in Q4 24(구독자 3억 1,163만 명)

넷플릭스 유료 구독자 3억 명 돌파..4분기 1,891만 명 추가

글로벌 1위 스트리밍 서비스 넷플릭스가 전인미답의 3억 명 구독자를 돌파했다.

넷플릭스는 1월 21일 2024년 4분기 실적을 발표하면서 전 세계 가입자 수가 3억 1,163만 명에 달한다고 밝혔다.

애널리스트들은 넷플릭스가 10~12월 기간 동안 918만 명의 유료 구독자를 추가할 것으로 예상했다.  2023년 4분기에 기록한 1,312만 명이 늘었다. 하지만 넷플릭스는 전년 대비 15.9% 증가한 1,891만 명의 구독자를 추가, 이러한 예상을 깨뜨렸다.

3분기의  넷플릭스는 510만 명의 구독자를 확보, 2억 8282만 명의 유료 구독자를 확보한 바 있다. (지난해 대비 14%) 넷플릭스는 2022년 제외하고는 창업이 구독자 수가 계속 늘어나는 엄청난 전력을 보이고 있다.

Netflix surpasses 300 million paid subscribers, adding 18.91 million in Q4

Netflix, the world's No. 1 streaming service, has surpassed an unprecedented 300 million subscribers.
On Jan. 21, the company reported its fourth-quarter 2024 earnings, saying it now has 311.63 million subscribers worldwide.
Analysts had expected Netflix to add 9.18 million paying subscribers during the October-December period.  That's up from 13.12 million in the fourth quarter of 2023. However, Netflix shattered those expectations, adding 18.91 million subscribers, a 15.9% year-over-year increase.

In Q3, Netflix added 5.1 million subscribers, bringing its total to 282.82 million paying subscribers. (14% year-over-year.) Netflix has a tremendous track record of growing subscriber numbers, with the exception of 2022, when the company's startup will continue to grow.
